The North Dakota State Railroad Museum is devoted to preserving and interpreting history of the local and national train industry. Its exhibits feature timetables from every railroad in the United States, an array of historic photographs and artifacts ranging from a 1913 caboose to a 1940s flat car and a NP speeder and push cart. The museum lies about three miles norhtwest of downtown Mandan.
